A splendid work with good colors. Printed on Japanese paper, dating to the second half of the 19th century. In perfect condition, with very thin margins all around, extending beyond the marginal line. The original red color of the flames has oxidized over time, taking on a brown hue.
The series dates back to the period in which, after the death of the master Hiroshige I in 1858, his favorite pupil and son-in-law Shigenobu inherited his artistic name, starting to sign himself simply “Hiroshige”.
The series title appears in the vertical rectangular cartouche at the top right; the title of each individual print is given in the fan-shaped cartouche to its left.
