FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
The Works and the Gallery
Are the prints for sale original?
Absolutely yes. The gallery deals exclusively with original prints: lithographs, etchings, woodcuts, and screen prints from the 20th century, as well as a selection of Japanese prints by Masters such as Hokusai, Hiroshige, and Utamaro, and contemporary artists who specialize in art printing. Each work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
What is meant by “original print”?
An “original print” is not a photomechanical reproduction or a poster. It is a work conceived by the artist for a given medium (matrix) and printed manually. Each impression has its own soul and story.
Will I receive a certificate of authenticity?
Certainly. Each print comes with a guarantee of authenticity on letterhead, with precise information about the author, technique, condition, and, where applicable, edition, references to catalogues raisonnés, and bibliography.
What are the dimensions of the work?
The actual image sizes are provided in centimeters or millimeters, in the order of height by width. Upon request, it is also possible to obtain the dimensions of the white margins of the print sheet. Some works feature simulations and renderings that provide an indicative idea of the framed work displayed as a decorative element.
What type of works can I find in the gallery?
Our gallery offers original modern and contemporary prints by artists such as Picasso, Chagall, Matisse, Miró, Braque, Calder, Toulouse-Lautrec, Delaunay, and others; Japanese Ukiyo-e and Shinhanga prints (including works by Hokusai and Hiroshige); sculptures and vases; antique prints from the 14th to the 19th century; works by contemporary artists. All exhibited works are selected based on quality criteria, certainty of provenance, and condition.
Can I see the works in person?
Certainly, it is the best way to appreciate the quality of the paper and the vibrancy of the colors. We look forward to seeing you in our gallery at Via Torquato Tasso 11 (Piazza IV Marzo), in the historic center of Turin, during opening hours.
Can I see the works online?
Yes, you can browse the catalog of available works in the gallery directly on the website www.elenasalamon.com, divided by epochs and artists and regularly updated with the new acquisitions. Hovering over the image of the work will activate an automatic zoom that will allow you to observe some precious details more closely.

Value, Choice, and Condition
How do I choose the right work for me, for my home?
Art should evoke emotions; it's better not to be influenced solely by investments and trends. If you have doubts about the size or impact of the work in a room, write to the address elena@elenasalamon.com: we will help you visualize it better, using simulations and renderings available on the site.
Will I receive a certificate of authenticity?
Certainly. Each print comes with a guarantee of authenticity on letterhead, with precise information about the author, technique, condition, and, where applicable, edition, references to catalogues raisonnés, and bibliography.
How should I preserve my original print?
To best preserve your print, avoid direct exposure to sunlight and excessive humidity. Always choose quality glass and pH neutral mats to prevent the paper from yellowing over time.
