“I have never hidden my great fascination for everything that chance can offer, even in the creative field. Chance often knows more than we do, advantaged by not having all our worries, fears, performance anxieties, and self-censorship. When I make a screen print run, it is necessary to make proof prints to determine the correct colors, proceeding by trial and error. Proof prints are generally made on sheets that have in turn been proof sheets from previous runs, thus depicting other subjects (or at least part of them). These partial images overlap during the proof prints with always new subjects, unconsciously creating new compositions. This evasion from human control often gives us intriguing images, with a strength that intention does not always manage to reach. Many of us as children participated in the game of “exquisite corpse,” a poetic compositional technique invented by André Breton and the surrealist collective in 1925. The game usually involved multiple participants, who on a portion of a folded sheet added a drawing, without seeing what others had already created; this resulted in strange and unexpected associations, as they were not guided by rationality. The true interest that exquisite corpses evoke lies in the fact that these bizarre images, eluding rationality, somehow speak to us. In some ways, I see analogies with the I Ching or with Tarot, where the randomness of what comes out tells something about us and lends itself to interpretation.” Elisa Talentino

Are the prints for sale original?
Absolutely yes. The gallery deals exclusively with original prints: lithographs, etchings, woodcuts, and screenprints from the 20th century, as well as a selection of Japanese prints by Masters such as Hokusai, Hiroshige, and Utamaro, and contemporary artists specializing in art prints. Each print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity on letterhead, with precise information on the author, technique, condition, and, where available, edition size, references to catalogues raisonnés, and bibliography.
What are the dimensions of the artwork?
The actual image dimensions are provided in centimeters or millimeters, in the order of height by width. Upon request, it is also possible to obtain the dimensions of the white margins of the print sheet. Some works include renderings that offer an indicative simulation of the framed artwork displayed as a decorative element.
Can I buy a print as a gift?

Can I return the item?
Certainly, as required by law: once you receive the print, if you are not satisfied with the purchase, you can return it. The shipping costs for returning the artwork in its original condition are your responsibility. For online purchases, a refund is provided. For gallery purchases, it is possible to obtain an exchange or a voucher of equal value to the returned artwork. We would like to specify that exchanges can also be made to acquire works of lesser value than the originally purchased artwork, receiving a voucher for the difference. Any withdrawal request must be submitted via email within 14 days of receiving the artwork.
