Collection: STAMPS OF FLOWERS AND LANDSCAPES

Among the original Japanese prints, we offer some refined color and black-and-white woodblock prints with floral and landscape motifs.
The splendid nishiki-e by Mochizuki Gyokusen, which mainly depict birds, flowers, and fruits, rendered elegantly sometimes in color, sometimes with refined shades of black and gray. The Dochu gafu (Album of illustrations along the road) by Hokkei Totoya, one of the first and most well-known students of Hokusai: these are color woodblock prints, in two shades of gray and one of pink, that reproduce views of locations and travelers along the road to Tōkaidō. Finally, a selection of lesser-known authors, such as Hasegawa Keika and Taki Katei.
