Collection: Picq Jeanne
(Savigny-sur-Orge 1985)
Jeanne Picq is a French artist who experiments with various engraving techniques: etching, drypoint, aquatint, and linocut. In her compositions, she often incorporates small collages of molded paper, pieces of metal, and colored threads.
She graduated from the École Estienne and worked in various studios in Paris, mainly participating in the design of artist books and the coloring of prints produced by the Chalcography of the Louvre. She moved to Bordeaux for a few years, where she attended the La Belle Estampe workshop of Robert Frélaut, and then settled in Nancy, where she currently lives and continues her art printing activities.
Her works offer a journey immersed in nature and even among galaxies, such as the series dedicated to constellations, which poetically revisits some famous groups of distant stars.
