Gec lives and works in Turin. In 2007, he graduated in Environmental and Landscape Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Turin. His work is primarily based on the use of the web to engage the public directly, without which none of his works could exist. The invitations for active participation directed at the audience explore themes such as work, advertising communication, conscious consumption, and play; their success depends exclusively on the audience's response and the level of interest that each project can generate online. The result is often works created in urban spaces without any authorization, ironic and dramatic images or environmental installations, capable of engaging a diverse audience through a synthetic and immediate language.
Gec has participated in important exhibitions in Italy and abroad. His exhibitions include “Screens of My Desires,” Triennale di Milan (2014); “Night Falls,” Civic Library Museum Mart, Rovereto (2013); “Epidemic Happiness,” Venice Architecture Biennale (2012).
