Biography

Tsukasa Yoshida (born 1949) is a modern Japanese woodblock print artist. He comes from the famous Yoshida artistic family and is the son of Toshi Yoshida and grandson of Hiroshi Yoshida. He belongs to the third generation of the renowned Yoshida family, which has played a significant role in the development of modern Japanese printmaking.

Tsukasa Yoshida currently runs the Yoshida Hanga Academy, founded by his father Toshi Yoshida in the village of Miasa, located in the Northern Alps of Japan. This academy has been an important center for teaching Japanese woodblock printing in the post-war period.
